The Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) is a "Businessmen's Association" founded in Istanbul on May 9, 1990, by conscientious businessmen who envisioned a Turkey where rights and law, justice and equality, peace and security, welfare and happiness are established; a Turkey that respects both historical and social local and universal values, that is complete within itself, active in the economic and political arena regionally, and respected globally.
MÜSİAD has become an exemplary center of education, guidance, and consultancy not only for the business world but also for other sectors of society. It is a strong "Civil Society Organization" that has professionalized its applications and work on a foundation of professional thought, opened its intellectual capital to sharing, and possesses the status of an association for the public benefit.
The mission of MÜSİAD is to increase its membership of independent and unaffiliated businessmen at the national and international levels who share the pre-determined principles and values, to enhance solidarity among its members, and to contribute to the material and spiritual development of our country with the spirit of unity and togetherness it fosters within.
